Discover the campus digitally

The campus tour feature offers interactive tours of the campus or city – flexibly customizable and directly accessible via the app.

The Campus Tours module offers interactive tours of the university or city. Tours can be managed flexibly, are visible based on roles, and guide users through important aspects of everyday university life with maps and information.

Module: Campus tour

Navigate, discover, understand

With the Campus Tours module, you can bring your campus, historic buildings, or city landmarks to life digitally. Users can explore the university location on their own—whether they are first-year students, guests, or new employees—directly via the app.

The content and routes can be flexibly customized: universities can create any tours they want, such as campus tours, orientation guides for first-year students, or tours of public facilities. The tour points appear interactively in the app and can be combined with additional information – from texts and images to location details.

The module can be managed independently in the cooperation portal: tours can be activated, renamed, and assigned to different roles, e.g., only for first-year students or external guests.

To display the individual points, the necessary data (e.g., on lecture halls or facilities) must be provided in a machine-readable format (JSON or XML via REST request) via the university's servers. Alternatively, UniNow also supports other formats on request.

The tour function not only improves orientation on campus, but also conveys information about the university and its surroundings in a modern and attractive way.

Product Overview

Additional modules for your Campus App

The premium modules enhance the campus app with integrated tools for organization, communication, and administration.

The premium module “Two-Factor Authentication” (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to the campus app. Universities can configure the second factor specifically for sensitive functions, such as accessing emails, exam data, or library systems. Authentication is performed in addition to the standard login process, increasing the protection of personal data. The technical setup is tailored to the university’s requirements and integrated securely within the app. All authentication processes comply with modern security and data protection standards.

Two-Factor authentication

An additional security feature protects sensitive areas such as emails and exams. Biometrics or PINs ensure maximum data security in the app.
The "Campus Facilities" premium module enables universities to list key locations such as libraries, offices, labs, and service centers directly within the app. Each facility is displayed with its name, address, and location details. Through Google Maps or Apple Maps integration, users can navigate to the desired location directly from the app. The module improves orientation on campus, especially for new students and visitors.

Campus Buildings

All university facilities are displayed with location information. The integrated navigation system makes it easier to find your way around campus.
The "Campus Tours" module allows universities to offer guided tours of important locations within the campus or surrounding city. Whether it's a welcome tour for first-year students, a walk through service points, or a historical route – all tours are accessible via the app. Each stop includes location details, navigation, and optional background information. The tours can be customized to meet the needs of each institution and help students and visitors get oriented quickly.

Campus-Tour

Students and guests can explore the campus or city interactively using an app. Tours can be created, managed, and played back flexibly based on roles.
