The newsfeed is the central communication channel within the app and serves as the home page for students. Posts can be published specifically according to target groups – from events and surveys to deadlines and campus news. Institutions, departments, or student representatives create their content in the newsfeed portal and reach students without algorithmic restrictions.
A wide variety of post types can be used: Events can be created with just a few clicks and automatically added to students' timetables. Surveys are also possible to collect feedback or prepare data-driven decisions. Images, videos, link previews, or podcasts can be used to make content appealing and informative.
The newsfeed can bundle content from various sources: via the newsfeed portal, automatically via RSS feed, or directly via Insta Sync from social media channels. The feed is structured chronologically, supplemented by sections such as "Following" and "Discover." A first-semester section is also available as an option – with dedicated content and navigation specifically for first-year students.
By assigning channels, posts can be organized by topic. Students receive push notifications about new content – either automatically or based on the channel they subscribe to. This way, important information isn't overlooked.
